Alex was a little overdue...
so the doctor induced labor with Oxytocin...
and after 17 hours of labor...
Alex seemed to be in distress...
so, the doctor did an emergency C-Section.
During the surgery...
Alex had inhaled some amniotic fluid...
so, they had placed him in the NICU for 5 days
to ensure he wouldn't develop Pneumonia.
Not only was Alex vigorous...
but he had a very deep and loud cry.
After the 5 days...
we took Alex home with us.
My wife had also stayed in the hospital not too far from the NICU...
she slept until it was feeding time for Alex.
